IRIS COLOBOMA
Coloboma is a genetic disorder where a part of human tissue is not developed or is absent. In iris coloboma, a part of iris tissue may be missing due to developmental disorder. This leads to lot of glare and sensitivity to light. Colobomas can be repaired by an iris repair surgeon.
IRIS DISINSERTION
Iris is attached to the wall of sclera which is the white portion of the eye. Iris can get disinserted from the base or from the scleral wall because of reasons like trauma or due to lot of intraocular complications resulting from complicated surgeries. The iris can be fixed to its base with various methods by suturing.
